Percussionist and singer, Daniel Cauchi holds the post of principal percussion with the Malta National Philharmonic Orchestra and is a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta. He graduated from the University of Malta and furthered his studies in percussion at the music conservatory of Latina (Italy). Daniel Cauchi is the founder, leader and singer of Big Band Brothers.
He produced and directed various concerts namely KUBU, a commission for the Malta Arts Festival, “Kelma Kelma Nota Nota” and “Ftakar” concerts amongst others. Ha has collaborated with a number of artists and ensembles from all over the world and presented a number of recitals and concerts. Daniel is the lead singer of Kafena with whom he has recorded the album “Lukanda Propaganda”. Daniel also recorded the music of Maltese contemporary composers namely Joseph Vella, Ruben Zahra and Christopher Muscat
Daniel has been invited to perform in China, Hong Kong, India, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Germany, England, France, Belgium, Canada, Turkey, Israel, Palestine, and Tunisia.
