The love and passion for music,plus the need to push boundaries in writing ‘a cool song’ ,and the thrill of being onstage with fellow musicians,are what makes Wayne tick.
Wayne is a member of The Big Band Brothers,an 18 piece Brass ensemble,who have so far taken their brand of Live performances on many local stages and television and on international stages,namely Liverpool and Istanbul.
Wayne also writes and records music, with K.O.I. and as a solo artist.
Wayne has previously been a member of Sourmash (Hard Rock Cafe Battle of the Band winners 2003) and The Applebeez ( a project with Ray Mercieca ,of Rifffs and Characters fame) and performs regularly with the Xirka Rock band, a venture with some of Malta’s top Musicians who perform Covers with most of Malta’s top rock singers fronting the band ,and duetting, making every Xirka Rock event a memorable one for both Audience and Musicians.He is also a founder member of the Malta Rock Movement,organising events with other musicians and performing
Wayne also is a studio session guitarist,recording regularly in most of Malta’s top studios for many top local artists.
Wayne has also played Live Sessions with Airport Impressions,Tribali ,Karl Bee,and local dj duo act Tenishia,and played in various locations with Nafra ,an ensemble made mostly out of traditional maltese instrumentsHe has also taken part in all editions of Rockestra,a Rock Concert organised by The Malta Philarmonic Orchestra,under the direction of Mro,Sigmund Mifsud,whose purpose it to raise funds for people in need.
As soon as this is achieved,other techniques will be thought… Scales,Modes,Rhythms,Power Riffings ,tips for songwriting and confidence in achieving the ultimate goal- to perform confidently in from of an audience.
